I thought I did well getting a 7ft Xmas tree from Argos in July for £5 plus a set of 100 multiaction lights £2.50. A friend in work however got a 4ft tree from Tescos for £1. It looks great in the office.

Thank you travelchick and Philuk
I went to the Rotherham (Parkgate) store yesterday. Bought the Looney Tunes Christmas lights reduced to £2.25 for 20 lights, but the lady said the till keeps doing silly things, and it reduced them to 56p !!!!!
So ran and got another set to give to an Auntie who loves Looney Tunes.
As we were passing, we called in to the Sheffield store later on and purchased another set of lights for a Niece, but the till came up at £2.25, but still a bargain. The Sheffield store had a lot more stock - Got a moving musical Looney Tunes snowglobe for £3.75 and a santa train that moves round the bottom of the tree for £3.75 - The kids love them.
Thanks again - I love this site - saved me a fortune !!!!!0
