I wonder-does that include when products don't coome up with the extra 'clubcard' points? Quite ofter, I buy things to get the extra pojnts (ie. a certain brand of baby food-BUT only if I am going to use it and NEED it!) and the extra points vouchers don't work-then I have to take it all up to CS and get them to add it manually...
Now, I may be preaching to the converted and telling EVERYONE something they already know, but Tescos and ASDA both accept Sainsbury's money off vouchers AND you can use randon vouchers even if you haven't bought the product! Quite good if you're like me and get loads of Pampers £1 ones. I always buy Tescos own nappies (much cheaper and great quaility-wish I had got terry ones now-too late!)
Anyway-sorry for the ramble...will DEFIANTLEY be searching for R&R's now!

Cheers for posting this Amos, we can slearly learn a lot off old dears. Even if they're not all au fait with the internet etc I'm sure they learned a few lessions from rationing etc.

She sounds like a savvy old bird - just the way we should be! They learnt a lot just by having only the cash in their pocket to spend. When it ran out, it ran out. That's something that's changed completely in the past generation or so with credit left right and centre.

I shall be having a go at this here R&R technique. Checking through the receipts... the OH will love it - he already gets bored while i stand there staring at the loo rolls, working out which ones are best value on a 'cost per wipe' basis!

That is a lovely story, that old lady could probably teach a lot of people a few things about how to make the best use of their money, an inspiration to us all!!!!!

Just a quick note to y'all that read about the wonder of R&R and are thinking of giving it a go, you might want to read this that's just happened: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=2011219#post2009424

I too have had R&R problems and had to write a 12 page letter of complaint once when I was accused of being a liar and a thief, so it's not all plain sailing (unless you do happen to be an "innocent" elderly lady :D) Just for the R&R virgins to be warned it's not easy all the time!
