Independant Estate Agents Northampton

Can anyone recommend a small estate agenccy in Northampton (Ecton Brook)? I have two of the "big boys" coming round to value my house but want a view from the other end of the scale. Ideally I'd be looking to negotiate a fixed fee rather than all this percentage [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] stuff.

Many thanks

  • We're in the process of selling our house but not really sure on the smaller EA's but o'riordan bond have been great to us, especially chris who is based at the weston favell branch (think that covers ecton brook). Millers only have one office in the town but they tend to have good house's on their books not the best agents though. Don't bother with bairstow eves, horts have been a bit rubbish too, only concerned when they are going to make money. Bairstow eves actually said to us he didn't think he was going to make money from us so he wasnt going to bother phoning us when new properties came on!!! He also pressures you after every viewing "how much do you think its worth", "if you were going to put an offer in how much would it be?" and this is while stood on the persons from garden still (he was a bit creepy too. lol)

Have you tried Michael Grahams in Olney?

Looks like they cover your area and I've heard some good things about them from a friend in the area.

I would definitely recommend Whites on the Wellingborough Road in Northampton. They are independent and I found them to be very honest and trustworthy with the valuations, well the whole service really.

    Good luck with your sale.
