baking tip

when baking a cake, use the papers from the top of margarine tubs to help line the tins - they're already greased!

works best for loaf-type cakes where the paper will fit almost the whole bottom of the tin

Okay - another tip - when you have finished rolling out pastry, use the leftover pastry to wipe up the flour on the worksurface - makes cleaning it a whole lot easier.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I never have left over pastry! My Mum always taught me to use every bit, normally as small biscuits sprinkled with sugar. Yum!

use frozen fruit in muffins and cakes, works just as well as fresh and helps use the deluge of frozen fruit in the freezer. (works very well with cranberries if you can find any reduced after the christmas rush)

if anyone has a tip to stop wayward husband from eating the majority of the batch before they have cooled would appreciate ie ;D
