Pension Allowance

Can you tell me whether personal pension scheme contributions are taken into account when dealing with the csa or is it just company pension schemes?

Yes it is. But in a couple of years when yet another assessment is brought in there will be no allowance for a pension.
  • Do you automatically get moved from csa 2 to csa 3?

That is the question everyone wants an answer too! I am still waiting to be moved from CSA1 to CSA2 from March 2003!

They claim that you will be moved some time in 2011 may be! Pigs might fly first though!
  • So it doesn't have to be a company pension scheme?

No. As long as it is pension scheme the payments will be exempt from any assessment.
