    Hi all hope you had a good week end yesturday for me was great for me done some baking and had a casserole on in the slow cooker, we also did lots of work out in the garden no tv until 8:30, a very constructive day it took me back to when I was young and mum would spend all sunday mornings baking cakes and cooking ahead, and dad would be in the garden or in his shed doing something. any way here is my menus for this week
    Monday beef casserole potatoes and veg.

    Tuesday Chicken, bacon lardons and mushroom in a creme fresh sauce with tarragon a dejon mustard s&p and pasta

    Wednesday Rice suprise,Rice with bits of veg that need using up in it with spices

    Thursday Spanish omlete

    Friday as dd2 and her boyfriend will be here Chilli Rice, or wraps and salad.

    Saturday BBQ
    Sunday Roast Chichen

    well must dash got work have a good week

    Haven't posted here for ages, probably explains why I've been spending too much on food. Back onto the straight and narrow, many recipes from jamie's ministry of food and finding his recipes on other websites:-

    Turkey & leek pie
    Chicken fajitas and rice
    curried cod
    Omellete with lemon, ginger and turmeric rice
    jacket potato with cheese (or beans)
    roast chicken
    lamb shanks in mint sauce

    I've changed tonights meal to Chilli Con Carne as DD has her friend over who doesnt like sausages and Im not going to start cooking different meals.

    Have some roasted veg in the oven ATM-green, yellow and red peppers, onions, mushroom and onions for couscous and pitta bread filling.

    Mon - kippers/smoked mackerel and veg
    Tue - sausage and bean casserole
    Wed - chilli wraps
    Thur - pork chops and veg
    Fri - turkey and veg curry with quinoa
    Sat - Roast chicken
    Sun - Chicken wraps

    Hi everyone - thanks for sharing :) We have planned:

    Breakfasts
    - Toast with HM Strawberry Jam, HM Marmalade, Peanut Butter or Marmite.
    - or Porridge with Blueberries or Sultanas and Raisins
    - or Branflakes with Sultanas
    Followed by a banana

    Lunches
    Monday: Sardine and Spinach (me and DD)/Mature Cheddar (DH) Sandwiches in Soya and Linseed Bread
    Tuesday: Marmite Sandwiches in 50/50 bread
    Wednesday: Peanut Butter Sandwiches in 50/50 Bread
    Thursday: Mature Cheddar, Carrot and Onion in Soya and Linseed Bread
    Friday: Onion and Herb Scones
    Saturday: Onion and Herb Scones
    Sunday: Sage and Onion Sausage Pie with Salad and Steamed Potatoes. Followed by Black Saturn's Chocolate Mousse.

    Dinners
    Monday: Baked Beans on Toast with Salad
    Tuesday: Spaghetti Napolitana with Garlic Baguette
    Wednesday: Spinach-Crusted Fish with HM Oven Chips and Salad
    Thursday: Pitta Pizzas and Potato Salad with Mangetout and Carrot
    Friday: Mixed Vegetable Korma with Broad Bean and Onion Pilau, Mini Poppadoms, Chutneys and Salad
    Saturday: HM Beef Burgers with Salad and Wedges
    Sunday: Celery Soup. Followed by Tea and Biscuits :D

    Puds can be: Fruit, cheese and crackers or digestives, yoghurt, semolina or vanilla ice cream in cones.

    Snacks can be: Fruit, carrot, crackers or digestives.

    Sunday - was a roast chicken which is being stretched
    monday - chicken curry and rice
    tuesday - OH out, salad for me
    wednesday - spag bol
    thursday - chicken and spinich risotto made with stock from chicken
    friday - cod and pea pasta
    saturday - out

    Must stick to meal planning! Have a duck from chinese supermarket in freezer and 2 packets of stuffed pasta in fridge for cases of want takeaway/too tired to cook.

    Hi :hello:,

    OH working away mostly this week so a bit haphazard;
    Monday - pizza (got the girls coming round!)
    Tuesday - cottage pie with carrots, broccoli and potato of some kind
    Wednesday - Spaghetti carbonara (another friend popping in I think!)
    Thursday - ready meal as going out
    Friday - Salmon, HM chips & peas
    Saturday - at FIL's unknown at the mo but poss curry/chilli etc
    Sunday - TBC - dont' know whether will be at FIL's or home
