My prize has not turned up!

Remember I got a WTC to say I'd won a Wii from a NOTW comp at the start of July? Well, they told me to allow 28 days for delivery and ... nothing. I have started chasing but still no answer.

Obviously, they rang me so I have no person to directly go back to. I emailed the competition email addy yesterday then thought today that that probably gets junked up with comp entries. So, this afternoon, I checked out their website and sent an email explaining what had happened to features@notw.co.uk . No reply yet, but I know the email was read by someone late on.

How long should I wait for an answer? And what should be my next step if I get no joy?

Sorry to hear that you haven't received your prize. Sometimes comp. prizes take ageeees to arrive. I know that some of mine have. I would wait until next week and If you haven't had a reply then get in touch again...hopefully your prize will turn up soon. Good luck.

Hi Kate, I won an xbox from the sun on 29th of June, still waiting for it, but when we phoned to chase it up they said it was 28 working days so not to expect it until mid August. Yours is probably the same xx

I am still waiting for two prizes I won from funkyfogey, one from February and one from April, despite many emails I have never recieved a reply. Very disappointing.

Hi Kate, I am the same with the Sun. Won a Wii on 22nd June and was told to wait 28 working days as well. Sending an e-mail today as its now well and truly past that!

Well I got a holding email today from customer services.

I'd give them until the end of the week, and if you still haven't heard from them then you should contact:

The Institute of Sales Promotions [EMAIL="complaints@isp.org.uk"]complaints@isp.org.uk[/EMAIL] lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular [EMAIL="edwinm@isp.org.uk"]Edwin Mutton[/EMAIL], being an absolute star.

The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.

I contacted them in regards to a missing prize, and it turned up within 10 days of me emailing them.

Well, finally, my Wii turned up! On Tuesday, I emailed the editor copying in the comps department and gave them a week to sort it or I'd contact the ISP. I got no reply but the next morning, it turned up by courier, having been sent out the day before. Coincidence? I dunno but really, their communication is god awful.

We are very happy. Have used various gift cards and birthday money to buy Super Mario Kart and wheels so the children can play tho Daddy is quite happy with that too. Mummy may have to get EA Sports Active at some point.
