Will def give few of the ideas a go.

Bad news! Mother in law died yesterday and kids are distraught. I feel really guilty cause all i can think about is where are we going to find money for funeral? I know that sounds really bad and i am upset but i just can't stop thinkin 'more debt'. How awfuls that?:o

Did MIL have any estate that could cover funeral costs, if she has nothing and on benefits there may be some help with the costs. The funeral director would know which direction to point you in,.

    Hi Jakid

It is v hard when it feels like the world is against you, however remember you are in the right place for encouragement and a helping hand! Even if you are making 3 steps forward and 2 back, so what? The point is you are being proactive, you are working in the right direction, and you will be ok, you will get through these times. All the best.

Sorry to read of your loss. The best funerals don't necessarily cost a lot, my Grandmas was lovely because all her female relatives read extracts from her diaries (she didn't keep them private) and we had a slideshow of photos from throughout her life.
