where do i stand?

A debt with o2 was £239 back in 05 when it defaulted. still on my credit report. no one has ever chased me for this, nothing from o2 ever, not even a reminder, nothing from any debt agencies. now theres a balance of £403 showing on my report......where do i stand with this? i dont want to pay the £403 coz no1 has chased me. if they had have done, id have obviously paid it 
Id settle the £239 straight away if only someone would ask for it!!!
