    Hi Shaun

As a "lurker" on this section of the site I thought that I would wish you well with your pension appeal. My younger brother was long term sick and I remember the rejections and bureaucractic time-wasting he went through for his claim for incapacity benefit. It is definitely worth appealing and getting everyone on your side that you can. Don't be surprised if they come up with medical evidence from doctors who do not specialise in your illness. It doesnt seem to make sense but they did this in my brothers case and seemed to think it overuled actual specialists who were treating him!

One of the adjudicators at the appeal meeting obviously felt his nails were more important as he sat their clipping them and didnt appear to take any notice of our case. They turned down our appeal so I told them that I would take them to the European Court and that when I won I would win for thousands of others as well as it would set a precedent. They went into a recess and came out and awarded him enough bonus points to qualify!

So there can be a happy ending but they wont make it easy. I know you are in Ireland and not the UK but I rather suspect the same type of person will be running the system!

    Good luck.

Mooching here too. Dont' dust too often, Shaun - it will help with non-development of allergies in later life for the sheeplings!
