Advice Needed re vol reposs

I am trying to give my keys back to the abbey for a volunary reposs, but I have to miss the next payment first, as they are saying i've not missed enough.

But in 4 weeks we will have enought money to go BR, but should i wait until the repossesion is going through.

I've read if I sign the forms from the mortgage company it will be quicker, but if i've gone BR I shouldn't sign the forms

I dont mine waiting a few months extra before going BR, because don't want to end up not being better off after going BR.

Thanks

P

If you can wait to go BR then thats what I'd do and if you are still living in the house you can save on the mortgage too!

It doesn't matter whether youy go BR before or after you've moved out of the house. There are no advantages/disadvantages of doing it either way as long as you have somewhere to live.

You can move out, go BR, and let the repo jolly along at it's own pace. The only thing you mustn't do is sign a Deed of Acknowlegdement after you've gone BR, which is what they will as you to do so speed the vol repo along.
