Who are they and how much do they want (if I'm not being too nosey!)
My DH had 4 debts with Barclays, I offered a F&F on the smallest one in January at around 50% of the debt - which they accepted. The next smallest debt is for a Barclaycard, and they have now started adding interest again, so I've made them a F&F, but only for around 25% of the amount owed. Posted the letter today so we will see what happens!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Hopefully they'll sell the debts on to DCA's and then you may be able to afford f&F's as DCA's buy debts for pennies in the £. You can often get some good deals.
A couple of my original creditors would accept nothing less than 70% in f&f whereas a DCA accepted 45% and 55% - although I could have done much better than that. I just wanted rid tbh.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I've been asked for £6.2k on a debt of £18k with mbna which is fantastic but I just dont have it and probably never will. The debt is about to be sold on to a dca, do you think that in the future they would offer an even smaller amount?0

MBNA may well offer a smaller amount - worth a try?
I am dead jealous of all the MBNA people who have been offered low f&f's. I'm on a dmp and MBNA are my largest creditor, I owe them about 7.5k (was much more) and they've never once offered me a f&f. On the plus side, they have never hassled me and accepted my dmp from the start (the only creditor that did).
Instead, they have just re-structured my payments to say that what I'm am paying is minimum they will accept and they won't charge interest. Guess they are "housekeeping" to make it look good for shareholders etc.
Am still jealous though...!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

The amount that I am paying them is too small for them to accept and they acknowledge that I am unable to pay more and because I get help from payplan they are happy to accept this fact.0
