Looks easy enough, so long as you know in advance where you want to go.... can't easily come back and have a 2nd go at it can you, like you can on a normal roundabout by choosing the lane that allows you to go round ... and round ... until you've read all the exit signs and picked which one you want... then round ... and round ... until you see it again.

I was going to say, 'Try it in the fog when you're p!ssed!' but that's not very PC nowadays.:o
(Had a girlfriend in Swindon in the late 70s and it was always a bit of a lottery as to which roads I took home, but it was rarely on the motorway, which often seemed particularly fog-prone and scary.)
As regards Strakers, I used them to sell Dad's bungalow & had excellent service, all for 1%. I won't tell you the rest because it will sound like an advert, but they totally paid for themselves.
I agree that good quality Wiltshire property, whether it needs renovating or not, is holding up well. I can understand that too, having done much of our business in Wilts, where the people seem more cheerful and chatty than in Bath, though that's a wild generalisation & probably more to do with small town v city. If it weren't for all the pylons......oh, and the chalk, which is rubbish for gardening on.
Now, what was the question?0 -

Greed and stupidity personified.
An absolute classic.

No, thats a commonly held view.
DH once observed in the Podium tht people were so keen to project their ''superiority'' they forgot to actually have the graciousness and social education tht should be requisite for that ''role''. He phrased it better, but can't think how.0 -
I live in Chippenham
It's a bit of a mixture, but it's on the mainline railway to London/Bath/Bristol and a few minutes from the M4, so good for people who want to live in the countryside but need to commute for work. The town isn't anything special, but there are good schools, so it is not a bad place to base yourself if you've got a family. And you don't have to go far out of town to find some very picturesque country areas and very exclusive/expensive villages.
If I was looking to buy property at auction here I'd be sure to have a look at the area before I bought - in some of the smaller towns & villages around here, it is very easy to have a lovely little property but, say, surrounded by a depressing council estate, or a nightmare to get to or right next to the A350. I can think of one street in town with Grade II listed buildings, gardens going down to the river, you can stroll into town - but in the evening, there is often trouble in that particular street with fights when people are going home from the pub.0
