MAS No.5 SVR

I took out a mortgage with a fixed interest for 3 years with GMAC. A few months later the mortgage was sold/transferred to MAS No.5 in Plymouth. My fixed rate is due to end 1st October and I will be put on the standard variable rate. Does anyone know what this is? I suppose I will be hearing soon but just wondered if anyone is in the same position. Thanks.

Is MAS No.5 The same as Mortgage Agency Services Number Five ?
According to the FSA register. The Britannia Building Society are the group in charge. Britania merge with the Co-operative Financial Services Tomorrow.

Hi, yes I am with Mortgage Agency Services No.5. Would it be Brittania's SVR then or do they have their own rates. Do you know if the merger will affect me? Thanks for any help.

I did find this link to MAS No.5 on this forum here. There does seem to be a variety of addresses for this company. Britannia do mention this company in their annual report 2008. It might be best to phone them and see what they say.

Thanks for your reply. I think it would be best to ring them. I'm on 5.99% at the moment so hopefully it will be lower than this!
