Letter from Ruthbridge - what do I do?

Options
Hello,

This is my first post so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

This morning I received a letter from Ruthbridge addressed to 'The Occupier' asking me to call them...after a quick internet search I have decided not to!

So what should I do next, we only moved into our house 6 months ago, we have had lots of post addressed to previous occupant and also lots of visits from police and court officials looking for him, I have always sent all letters back to sender.

Do you think I am correct in assuming it is for previous tennant?

Will they write again with the name of the actual person they are after, or will they now start bombarding us with letters to the occupier....I don't think it is for me but there is always the possibility it is.

    Hi

Ignore until you get something with a name on. Ruthbridge are NOT a DCa you should talk to.

Do checlk the electoral roll to make sure the previouis occupant is not still listed.

  • How do I check that...I think they might be as when we had local elections a few weeks ago we got polling cards through for them. Will check that out...thank you.

Ring the local council, and get yourselves listed for the address.

At the moment the previous would still pass a basic financial check by declaring that they live at your address. Not being on the electoral roll will also adversely affect you if you have a credit check.
