Well personally having ongoing problems with L+C, last spoke to someone a week ago, neither my lender or I have heard anything since.............we are both sitting in a limbo - land of 'waiting for paperwork' from L+C, and both of us are unable to contact them.

I think they are crap - really!!!

Just a quick update from my last unhappy post: Still heard absolutely nothing from L&C as to how my mortgage application is progressing.
Spoke to lender - 'We're waiting to hear from L&C, sorry we can't accept any info' from you, can you get in touch with them?'

Oh! How I laughed......

Of course today I have pulled the plug, and am starting again.
Meanwhile others in the chain are not at all amused.......

I've always found L&C to be extremely efficient. You are usually given the name of the person dealing with your case.

Of course, like any company, particularly one where they have a lot of customers, occasionally someone will slip through the net and experience bad service or whatever.

Have you actually rung them to speak to your case director, or their supervisor? If your conveyancing is being held up just because of L&C then why not make a formal complaint to them? It would be interesting to learn what the delay was caused by.

Since my last post 8/5/06, have heard nothing from L+C re 'progress' of my Mortgage application!!!!
Of course, have now sourced my own - with very little hassle and a good rate. C+G are to be commended for their efficiency.

As for L+C - I despair.............

I "tried" to use L&C after many positive recommendations from this board. However I have not been impressed. They have not called back on three seperate occasions. They have given me incorrect advice on two seperate issues. I felt that they were apathetic and told me to call back once I found a property I would like to make an offer on instead of helping me get a mortgage in principle first, which is what I required.
So many people have had a good experience, perhaps I was just unlucky...
