for a present - My CC stayed at home and i paid cash and it was tortourous - i have been used to punching in number so it never seemed 'real' but it was real being given change back and seeing my crisp bank note sliding into someone else cash draer..

Yeah I'm good. Currently not doing much at work again.
I think people should be banned from posting on this forum during my working hours.

Hi Beautyandthebeast :T well done for leaving that card at home, have you ever considered cutting it up so you cant use it again?
If you really finding it hard to ween yourself away from that 'number punching' try one of these 3 things:
Change your PIN number to something totaly random and dont memorise it.
Open a basic bank account with a debit card and transfer our personal 'pocket money' allowance over to it once a week / month. Keep a close eye on it via internet banking!
Use a pre-paid 'debt card' which feels like a 'credit card' except you have to pre-load it with money before you can spend it and it wont let you go overdrawn once its gone its gone until you load more onto it. Theres also no charges either!
:j Keep up the good work and take it as a lesson and a positive step to prove to yourself you are managing your debt and you will get there!
 Thanks.Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

all my CC are in an envelope sealed with sellotape and not in my possession - so if i do feel tempted i have to ask for the cards (which hopefully will kick start the guilt feeling) the sellotape (removal of which will feel like i have failed!)
Only cash in my purse from now one and thats budgeted to!!O/S Debt: PL £[STRIKE]15207.34[/STRIKE] £9884.55; HSBC £4060.99; Tesco£1430.15; M&S £5990.17; Virgin [STRIKE]£5158.69[/STRIKE] £4210.14; Egg £4619.00; O/S = ££30,292.42 AIM - To Be Debt Free 56 months0
