I come in peace - don't shoot me.

First of all, I've done good out of this comp - so no sour grapes here. I just want to address a couple of points that have been made.

Firstly - the "letting go" of £50 wins. I'm not sitting in judgement, but if you know you've won and can't claim another £50, wouldn't it be fairer to state that when asking for more codes? It's not good to read that multi winners are still taking codes and then dropping the £50's because they've reached their quota. The poor sap who "thought" they'd win with you has nothing to show for their "sharing" have they?

I'm not sure I agree entirely with blaming McVities. Yes they changed the rules, but now being aware of the rules, you can't really twist them again to suit your needs - can you?

If you entered any another competition and the rules said one win per household, you wouldn't try and blag your way through to three wins per household cos you know what the rules stipulated.

Secondly - people not wanting to take your lists. Yes in the beginning is was great everyone helped everyone, but the longer it goes on people will sit back and let you do the work. I've won enough in my name, so it would be easier to pass my codes to another, let them do the work and I get half. I haven't done that, and I wouldn't but you must see the benefit of letting others take the strain whilst they get on with their lives, even possibly entering other comps (and winning) cos they've tied you up over here.

Also if people ask for codes, you send yours and they see you've already won a load (and even possibly dropping £50s) they might well think "well you've won enough already, why should I work for your benefit?

As I said, I'm not judging anyone, just trying to put across a different angle to some of the points raised.

    GG

I think these are really good points, I have not passed any £50's and have tried everyones codes and Im going to be honest
I could not care less about McVities or how much people have won I care about my family - we are skint have major major problems even though we work hard and have made every cut possible - I am worried sick about Christmas and this comp is a way of me making some cash to pay for it so Im happy to carry on doing codes and sending mine to people and if I have to pass up £50's I am sorry but I want the biggie - sorry if that sounds greedy but I think you need to think of number one and your family sometimes and the people on this thread are great and I am happy Ive shared wins with people and hope to continue to do so xx:)

I can see your view point and dont disagree with some points, and certainly no offence has been taken.

I cant speak for others but here is my situation. I have won myself and am very happy with that - so now I am entering for my family (not fictional people - but real people and whose winnings I am having no share of).

My dad won for the first time yeterday - a small win (just enough to cover what he has spent on biscuits). Now under the terms and conditions he is entitled to play on to win a bigger prize (this isnt people 'twisting' the t&c's that is what they state).

So today he won twice both £50's - he doesnt want to 'let them go' but according to the t&c's this is what he has to do. So - how is that his fault? Surely that is a technical issue for mcvities? (and we have kept the details of the wins and if we can claim them then we shall do so)

Also, worth adding that barring a couple of exceptions most peeps on this thread are in the same boat and have been saying that in their pms when giving out codes. So I dont think anyone is a 'sap' - quite the contrary everyone has been very helpful.

    :D
  • anybody want my codes? im working my way through a never ending list hehe
