Can I please make a point or two that may already have been made.

Not only will there be biscuits from the same day that were all made in the same minute, especially with the really popular brands it is incredibly likely that there were biscuits made the next day at the same time, and the next day after that. So there are not just, say, 20 packs with the same time but a large multiple of that. Given I have seen (and bought) these competition biscuits for at least 6 weeks before the competition and we are a good few weeks in and they are probably still producing for the competition as the new wrappers have the new T&Cs there could be more than 20(packs/min) x 7 (days a week) x 10 (estimated weeks they have been producing for the competition) packs all with identical codes...so as many as maybe 1000 or more packs all with the same code. For each minute. I doubt there is quite that many but you see what I am trying to say.

Also, I sincerely doubt they have a good enough warehouse that they only send certain timecodes to certain parts of the country. And even if they did, I think they probably send the biscuits out to the supermarkets distribution centres who almost definitely will not track where they send what time code. So you can probably buy a packet of Penguins made at (say) 0930 in Sunderland at exactly the same time as someone in Torquay buys another packet of Penguins made at 0930 another day.

So what I am trying to say is that, even if it WAS a breach of the T&Cs (which as they stand it isn't), I really don't think that without access to everyones personal mails on this forum and any other like it, that McVities could definitively know that you had swapped your code.

I'm sorry that was so long.

But I hope you can see what I'm trying to say.

    Good luck everyone!!

I give no permission to quote me outside this forum. All my family have more biscuits than we would normally buy in 2 years. McVities have to bite the bullet on this one, admit their mistake, pay everyones 1 minor & 1 major, and use this to learn for the next time round. When I'm sure we'll all buy even more biscuits because there are unique codes and clear T&Cs!!

You mentioned Karma and what goes around comes around - well I hope that is true because most of the posters on the comps forum are lovely people and extremely helpful to others by finding and helping others with comps. We are thrilled when others win prizes. I myself gave away a win not long back and many others here do the same. So if it's true what goes around comes around it can only be thought of in a positive light for us compers - not the negative spin you have put on it.

So not only are you all a bit peeved because I say you are cheating you think its ok to be rude, obnoxious and to call me a troll?

I havent been rude about this in any way. I have pointed out that what you do when you share codes is not sporting and is not fair.

McVites will do everything that they can to stop this and that is impacting on genuine winners.

Remember Karma though. What goes around, comes around.

I had stopped coming in here and offering codes as much because of the worrys about the T&C's but i do like to read if theres winners ;)

I've had one win now and maybe wont get another as mine was a minor, but I have enough packets of unopened hobnobs and pengin wafers in my kitchen to start my own factory so if the idea of the comp was to get me to buy a years worth of biscuits in a week then it worked! It just seems a waste that all those codes are now sat doing nothing? I should have read the new rules before I spotted all the half price biscuits lol, anyone need any ;)

Good luck to everyone , theres a few weeks of bonking left and as the ads say, we can still win a share of £5000 EVERY day! lets hope we do ;)
