  • Ruby Moon - it may be a good idea for you to have put Azeroth but no-one really understands why you put it when it would open you up to some of the feedback received. Equally, why do you make such unfounded accusations when, by your own account you have no more knowledge than anyone else outside of the promo company and McVities of the rules yet you seem to speak with such authority that people accuse you of being one of those things that you don't want to be called. I honestly would suggest that your conjecture of the rules in such a negative way is why people have got so offended and people do not like to be called cheats when there is nothing, absolutely nothing, to indicate that code sharing is outside of the rules. By your own admission you get muddled up and stuff but to get muddled up when it is to do with conjecture is harmful and confusing to many other users who have worked within the rules to gain competitive advantage.

Do you think that McVities never work 'within but bordering the edge of the rules' to gain competitive advantage when they are considering going head-head with a biscuit competitor when considering pricing policies within supermarkets such as 2-for-1 deals? People are operating within the rules as laid out and cannot be blamed or accused of cheating when they are working within the rules and interpreting them (for interpretation is all we can do without the clarity required) to gain their own competitive advantage.

I would suggest that if you do get muddled up and stuff that you carefully consider and read, re-read and then re-read again your posts before submitting them because this is a way to avoid coming across as provocative or authoritative unduly.

Have McVitie's employees became members of the forum to shout abuse at us??

Seems some people are starting to take this comp personally! :D

aaroncaz was just trying to explain why :confused::confused:. I think you should stop saying we are all cheats and have ruined this comp. That offends people that have spent money buying biscuits for a comp now that they cannot win from :mad::mad:
Do you understand why you cant win though, thats what Im asking?

Did you all (not just you) think that McVites would just sit back and let everyone send their codes to everyone in the country without doing anything about it?

It isnt because of me because I would never swap codes.

I never said YOU were a cheat. I said the people who swap codes are not playing fair which is the same as cheating.

If you have swapped codes, then you contributed to the spoiling of the game.

If you havent, then you too should be annoyed with the swappers and not be encouraging it.

I am very surprised it is allowed on here to be honest.

What is your authority to come here and say you WILL have your wins blocked if you share codes ? Only someone from Mcvite would know that information and if this is how they go about informing people who have spent loads on their products then it's very unprofessional of them.
As I said, I have phoned mcvities and had clarification over who in the household can enter with the same codes.

    Take it as you want.

Yes it is rubbish. Rubbish that you are getting so worked up about something that wasnt directed at you.

Yes, as far as I am concerned, people who swap codes are not playing fair and thats cheating. I do not understand how anyone can think otherwise and I can only think that so many people get so worked up about it because at the end of the day they KNOW its not fair to swap codes.

If we take up the idea of swapping codes and ALL of us did it, then there would be no competition because the 'fair play' would be gone.

If you (and everyone else) cannot see that swapping codes IS taking the 'fair play' out of the game then so be it. You cant reason with greed.

Ok, so if you had a packet that you tried and it didn't work, but your mum/dad or someone close to you wanted to try it, would you stamp your feet and say 'No, I am throwing it away because its not fair to swap codes'?

    Ridiculous.

To me it shouldnt matter personally,I think its lovely to be able to share codes this way if you havent been lucky yourself first using them and if the person wins that you give your code to then you share equally so you are both winners and that is fair in my eyes and I am always willing to go 50/50 as I hate to see codes go to waste that are floating around,as long as you and the code giver agree to go 50/50 should a code win then I cant see the problem as they havent lost anything sharing a code and the code user hasnt ether by trying them,How is this cheating? as long as you play by the t&C you are fine.

I never thought, Not for one minute that using Azeroth would be a problem. As I said I didnt intend to come on here as I joined to do something on Disability and Dosh.

The fact that you looked it up and its a make belivee world blah di blah has nothing what so ever to do with who I am, how old I am, where I am from, what kind of person I am etc etc.

I am entitled to come on here and say "Swapping codes is cheating" as you are to say "Swapping codes is ok".

Its an interpretation you have from the rules that its ok....and thats ok for you. I havent called you names like Troll and no brain have I? I wouldnt!!
I havent said get out of the thread because I dont agree with you.

Its THAT thats disgusting about this. The fact that all these people gang up to call names and to intimidate. Hidden behind their screens!

I know what I know due to the reasons why I ended up coming in here in the first place.

Nope...not ridiculous at all becuase MY interpretation of the rules are that to do so would mean BOTH entries would then be disqualified.

Why would I want my entry to be disqualified if it wins?
