Can I just ask...how are people working the sharing? I have won twice today, with two diferent people and both are different...whats the best way?
thanks
Hiya babs.
I always send the coded pack off to whoever has won and if I win I ask for the pack to be sent to me. There's quite a few reasons for this. One is that the 'winner' has all the details on hand so nothing gets lost in translation: Winning name (as it was filled out of the form), address, DOB and the winning special code (which is in a mix of lower case and upper case and numbers.
Another reason is that if some people say win 20 times - if you don't send off your own packets then you run the risk of McVities noticing that they have the same winner but whose claims are all made on different paper, written in different pens and with different handwriting all from different postmarks.
The other reason, and i'm not accusing anyone I am merely being careful with mine and with other peoples details is that if someone was to claim on your behalf then they will have your name, your address, your date of birth and later on when you send out their share of the cheque, your account number. People's dates of birth are often used in security checks and in the wrong hands all that information accumulated together could be risky. I've had a fraudulent claim to my account, fortunately they didn't get away with it but I still had to answer some questions as to who might have had access to my personal information. I would just hate anybody on here to be under suspicion of anything like that and so I remove the doubt by not giving out my DOB and by not asking for anyone elses.
Sorry, it's a long post and I don't want to put a dampener on anything, I just want people to be careful and not have anything spoiled because of us trying to win a few quid.
Now then. I've not won for a few days now - so if anyones got any codes i'll give them a go.
Does anyone want any of mine?0 -
