Anyone want to try my codes or want me to try theirs?0

To be honest, I reckon most companies running promotions keep a beady on us here (as well as Loquax etc etc)
Competitions are a marketing tool at the end of the day and our actions here can be used as data to make decisions about future promotions they might want to run.
I doubt they'd want to put all the effort into investigating each and every claim - if they wanted to stop us, they could send a rep along to post on here.
Their aim is to increase sales - and most of us have bought more biscuits over the last week than we would otherwise buy in a year!
The money will be handed out regardless. Provided McVities see a huge profit boost, would they really care who got the cash?
PS - I may be wrong :rotfl:Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
They don't care what we vote for! They only care what we BUY!!!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0

Not been on here for quite a while but have had polo pestering me, so went to shop bought some jaffa cakes which polo promptly ate and then have just entered the code and won £50 woohoo
Thanks polo :T:T:T
comping world I am back - had forgotten what a rush it is to win something :j:j:j
well done to all winners :T:T:T
Well Done on your win, hope it's the first of manyI AM WHAT I AM0 -
Yes, sadly the very purpose of this promotion - to vote for your favourite biscuit -has been undermined.
100 people could vote for Jaffa Cakes once but if one person on here votes for ginger nuts 1000 times while entering codes - the results will be completely worthless.0 -
I for one would NEVER buy McVities due to a tight budget, but for this comp, I have stacked up with Hob Nobs, Rich Tea,Digestives etc.. In fact if it wasnt for this promotion, I would never have tried the Caramel Digestives and now I am addicted.

Oh dear, my hiding of the biscuits didn't last for long... I hid them in a carrier bag where we keep all the empty carrier bags... OH gets in from work & decides its looking a bit crowded so pulls a few bags out & out fall the biscuitsThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

Same with any poll though.
The amount of things I vote on because there is a prize at the end is just ridiculous. Many times i have no idea what I'm actually voting for.
That is why you should NEVER believe adverts when it says "Voted number one product by our readers" - because it's not readers voting, it's US!
Same with YouGov and any research panel. The only way to ensure accurate results would be not ot offer rewardsLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I hope people who have won don't get disqualified.
However I can honestly say in our house we NEVER buy biscuits....because of this promotion not only are we dunking, but we are having cheesecake type desserts with biscuit bases too lol.
And I vote for my favourites when I do enter (Caramel digestives or penguins) I can't decide between the 2 so I vary it lolDream of being mortgage free....

It was same with Iconic Britain, most of us were just clicking away on the same smiley face & people were uploading pics of anything... companies know people will do this, but its still getting them the promotion they want, the more people that play the more publicity it getsThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:
