Thanks for all your comments. Apologies if the subject title is mis-leading , but I got the info from the Daily Mail web site and it clearly says 3.99% fixed for term in their table. I guess that teaches me a lesson and I should look a bit more closely at the details on the lenders web site. I think I will pass on this one, and keep looking for something a bit more conventional.
