Rolled Edge Pan Woes

About half of my baking & oven pans/tins have what I'll call 'rolled' edges. When I wash them, water stays in this rolled bit for ages! This past Sunday I washed one of my roasting tins, dried it and left it set on the counter. Over 5 hours later when it was tipped to one side water dripped out.

There have been times when they've been put away directly and the pan under the one that was washed had rust stains on it from the water draining. If there is any way to stop this I would appreciate knowing :D

I stick mine back in the oven when it's still warm to dry out, or stand 'em on edge on the radiators. I also do the radiator trick with whisks, can openers and anything else with moveable bits which might be prone to rust. even if the heating's not on, they're out of the way and can dry off with air circulating around them without being in the way!

I leave all my baking trays and pans to drain on its side in the sink until I have finished tidying the kitchen and then I leave them on their side on the hob over night adput away the next day.

Thanks, When it's time to replace these I think I'll look for ones with 'straight' edges - must be some out there! :-)
