Co-Op account.

My DH will be opening a Co-Op account prior to going bankrupt.
As been told in a previous post, DH will have to ask OR if ok for account to be used etc, the only thing that concerns me, what happens if that account gets frozen?
As my DH will be having his wages paid in there, and paying DD out of it, for rent, utilities etc.
Thanks, Sam.

I did the same thing and the OR agreed to leave the account alone and that he would write to the Coop advising them of this. As all my household bills came out of it, I took the precaution of drawing out any cash beforehand and feeding it back into the account when DDs/SOs were due just to be on the safe side.0

should be fine (as long as your not in brighton....for some reason they're the ONLY OR's office that close accounts)
as terr has said make sure there's enough money in for bills etc...anything exsessve the OR "could" take an interest thenWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Thank you.
For instance my DH normally gets between £1700/£1750 per month, paid on 25th of each month, and we normally have DD's come out on the 1st each month, I believe when we've moved etc, most of this will be taken for.
But then the Tax credits will also be paid into the Co-Op account.
It just worries me, if they do freeze it, and we'll have moved into PR, not being able to pay the rent, would be a HUGE worry.
Here I go again, panicking :rolleyes:0 -
99.9% certain it wont be frozen (unless brighton as i'd said) so try not to worry easier said I know!We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Hello Sammy,
I don't mean to put a spanner in the works but when I applied for a co-op account just before bankruptcy I was told they only open them afterwards
Maybe it was just the chap I spoke to but it may be worth bearing in mind0 -
