What's the deal?
After appearing on The Wright Stuff last week with Robert Llewellyn (if you don't recognise the name he's the presenter of Scrapheap Challenge and was Kryten in Red Dwarf). He's a lovely chap, so I said I'd tell you about the DVD if he gave me a few copies to give to MoneySavers.
The DVD is called IT2i2, to give away. (Have a look at the trailer here). It's interesting to note, he's paid to do it himself, and is doing the distribution himself too, an interesting venture, so fans may want to support his creativity.
What's it about?
If you don't know what that is, here's the blurb:
The human brain has 50 billion connections between neurons, so when the internet has that many computers connected to it - could something really big happen?
In March last year Robert Llewellyn bought himself a new Mac and plugged it into the net, taking the total number of machines out there to 50 billion and one!
Houston, we have a problem.
it212 is the adopted brainchild of master computer programmer, John Silverstine. "I don't create him, I just give him a bigger playground..."
An artificial intelligence who inhabits the vast virtual landscape of the itnernet, who knows everything about everyhone, and who enjoys playing with air traffic control systems.
No one knows about it212 apart from a few devotees, or are they really disciples? When Robert Llewellyn hears the rumours, he ventures forth to discover the truth.
How to be in with a chance of getting one
