I got caught in a monsoon type downpour yesterday for over 15 minutes.
My shoes are sodden and my jeans were wet to the knees.Despite having my brolley the wind was blowing water everywhere.
When I got home I took off my red wool jacket and my husband said I looked like I'd been shot.
The red dye from my jacket had bled and I now have a lovely mint green (very fine cotton) sweater covered in red dye.
I love that sweater and despite using vanish gel,and a stain spray and oxy crystals and soaking overnight it has'nt budged much.
I've never had a stain like this before so was wondering if any of you ladies could enlighten me on anything that might help.
Thanks.

Not very OS but the supermarkets sell stuff which is called Colour run remover, I think it's by Dylon. It's usually next to the Colour Catchers and so on, and I've used it for the odd washing mishap before. Worked well. Only thing is it may drain the colour from your sweater, read the box before you buy it if its suitable for the fabric, but it may be worth a chance if the sweater's ruined anyway? HTH Jackie

    Hi MRSTITTLEMOUSE,

It may be worth trying Dylon colour catcher or Dylon colour run remover. I'm not sure where to buy the colour run remover but the colour catcher is available in Tesco.

^^^^Thanks for that Pink, I've got a packet under my sink without the box, didn't think to check online for the useage instructions incase I need it! Thought it would just languish there forever! MrsT, I bought mine from Asda.

Thanks I'll give these a try I suppose if all else fails and they drain the colour from my sweater I could dye it over to a nice shade of whatever takes my fancy.
Will let you know the results.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I'd team it with something like the short black kimon from the site I linked to then. You can always get a long one at a later date, with another matching nightdress/lingerie ;)
