Abbey national savings account for discharged bankrupt

Appreciating that there are various posts re:savings accounts for bankrupts/discharged BR's etc-and i am pleased with my small YBS account-i seem to recall that someone also recommended a Abbey national savings account and i may be wrong but i again seem to recall that they said a specific AN saving account had a cheque book facility which would make it attractive.

I am obviously surviving without a cheque book but there is the occasional situation where a cheque boook facility would be very useful.

has any one any experience of this and know if indeed the Abbey nat. do offer a savings account with a cheque book facility and are BR/disBR friendly.

Any info on this-or similar would be most appreciated.
