It's not raining here, yet, it's looking very grey though.
I'm determined this year not to put the heating on till November at least. I said that last year and caved a couple of weeks early. But with the new sofa I'll be able to curl up under a duvet to watch tv, so I should be able to manage. I need to get a new halogen heater though, mine died last winter.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Morning GF
Does anyone know if the people on the DIY board are nice? I've just posted asking how to put up shelves, but looking at the other threads that seems a bit trivial for them.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
HAHAHA Bob last year I kept turning the heating off over the winter much to my flatmates chargrin
:rotfl::rotfl:You're like me, i read my meter daily and made sure that it wasn't being used. I even turned the boiler off at one point, because it takes longer to heat water up and they were always turning it on to wash their hands and the water never got hot enough by the time they finished:D
It was on over Christmas though as it was cold..went off in January when the temp rose above 1 degree.:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Ames, Im not sure TBH. I think you have to make sure that they are level and you have the right plugs dependant upon what wall you are securing them too.Debt Apr 06 Huge Debt Now Small in Comparison

They cost a fortune anyway. I sometimes give mine a quick iron( cottons etc) if damp, they dry quicker and you don't have to iron after..put shirts on hangers and hang them from curtain rails and they will be dry in no time.
Yeah i know, i am sad.:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
