Good garage in Thornliebank (South Side) - Car Care (Tel: 0141 620 0387). Cheapest MOTs I've found.

The council MOT centre is only a test centre, they don't do repairs or servicing, therefore they are not likely to "find" any work that need sto be done.

The Glasgow centre is in Hawthorn Street 0141 287 3326/3328

I send my daughters car to the Whiteinch Mot Centre( I have been using it for over 10yrs) on South Street near the west end. It only does MOT's so it has no vested interest if your car fails.

Yes, I've used Whiteinch MoT Centrte on South Street with no quibbles for a few years now. Additionally, it's quite handy for the 62 Bus Route into town.

I got my last car(s) MOT'd in a great wee garage in Possil Rd, Glasgow. Ofcourse I cant remember the name but if youre in that area I can certainly find out

Allan Orr, Brown Street in Renfrew, does not do unneccessary work.

I just had my MOT and service done in Car Care, Thornliebank. They fit me when when it suited me, was done within 4 hours and the best bit was - no extra work needed doing! Plus, it was quite cheap which always helps.
Although one small piece of advice - don't follow the driving directions from the website if you are not familiar with the area.

S & J Motors in the west end of glasgow well established for over 25yrs and does not do uneccessary work

I used In-Tune garage on maryhill road (just opposite the big new tescos building site) when I had my car.

Didn't have any problems with them and they were good priced. That was a couple of years ago now so couldn't tell you whether they are still like that
