Sun news paper £1 per night holidays start this saturday

I did wonder whether anyone else had taken up this offer as I am a little confused as I believed you could get a basic pitch at any of the parks for £1 per night in September.
I contacted one of the parks in Wales and they said it was £9 per pitch per night including the £1 for the basic pitch. I think they mean the pitch is £1 but they charge per person as well, but that's not what the T&C's say!
I rang park resort and it's actually £10 per night! I mentioned the sun offer and she explained the offer is "From £1 per night". The price drops after the 21st September, £3 per night Friday and Saturday and £1 for Sundays; and only £1 per night per pitch for the passes. So for 2 people for a weekend break it's only £10.
I may try skipsea myself as i have some tokens left. Did anyone else get a bargain holiday or can you recommend a good park to stay with this offer?I have booked to go to skipsea sands 2 nights elecctric hook up no passes paid £4 not bad for caravan awning Poned whitinsea sands booked that as well 2 nights £20 all passes plus dog great bargain Phoned skipsea sands to make sure i have electric up up i gave ref number and she said they made a mistake should not have been £2 BUT THEY WILL HONNER as i have booked All park resorts and all friday sat nights
Phoned haven they wont do frid and sat nights in the £1 offer0 -
Basic pitches on campsites hardly cost anything anyway - seems more like The Sun are using this as advertising when you can go camping for a few pounds a night anyway...0
