Natwest Loan Question...

I applied for a loan Monday, and got accepted in principle. I've been declined in the past but always during the application process. I'm just wondering if anybody knows a percentage for people who get declined at the final hurdle, the Underwriters? Thanks to anybody that can help, as this money means me and my fianc! can start planning our wedding after paying off everything first.

With a Natwest loan the only way it would go to an 'underwriter' is if it needed to be referred due to your level of debt with the bank (over £25k) or if the system decision was 'decline' and the branch referred it on with a view to overturning the decision.

If none of these were the case then assuming what you stated on the application is correct there is no reason anything will go wrong for you.

it can decline at the 2nd stage (ie: once you have signed and returned the paperwork) for other reasons too, not just the ones outlined above.

getting a loan isn't the same as 'paying everything off'
best to get married debt free.

    If you say so :)

Anything can happen, OP, just make sure the app is most accurate to your knowledge and you provide any documentation asked for (pay slips, bank statements, ID...), if indeed any is asked for.

It might be the case that your app doesn't get looked at by another human being other than to open the Loan account but it may do so give yourself the best chance.
