Hi,
Are there any free & reliable online tax calculators? I am changing jobs next week and would like to reliably calculate my take home pay so that I can create a budget. Also, if your employer contributes to a pension scheme, does this mean that you pay less NI?!
thanks,

You could try this one,
Payslip Checker
I find this one quite good as you can enter different taxcodes"Tomorrow is another day"0 -
Don't forget that if your salary is superannuable, you should deduct the pension contribution before entering your gross salary figure! Otherwise, you'll think you're getting more than you are... which is dangerous!!Mortgage at outset (May 2004): £80,000
Mortgage now (October 2007): £58,000
Original mortgage-free date: May 2024
Expected mortgage-free date: December 2014
Projected interest saving: £21,1000 -

A word of caution when relying on these online calculators. Every one that I have come across works on a week/month 1 basis, that is to say they assume you are being paid in the first week/month of the tax year, so it does not take earnings to date or tax paid to date in to account.0
