it was a storecard with Creational Financial and the trouble is, cos its from ages ago i've got no letters with their address on or anything. Anyway, as the card was only valid for a yr or so, i assumed once i'd paid the outstanding balance Creation would close the account and mark my file but after 6 yrs its still showingas active and being updated by experian.

i can't remember if this card was passed to a debt agency so who do i ask to remove it from my file - experian or creation - its obvious i no longer have the card.

thanks

Was this defaulted, and if so what is the initial default date recorded on the file?

i'm not sure if i actually defaulted - i think i rung them and agreed a monthly payment which i kept up. Once the debt was paid they've just kept the account open (i think) instead of closing it.

its over 6yrs old now so i want shut of it off my file but experien just seem to keep updating it for some reason as it looks to them as tho its still active. It must be obvious the accounts been dormant for yrs.
