sorry can't really offer any constructive advice. One thought is would it be worth contacting the CAB for assistance, as from my limited knowledge, these people (and I use this term loosely!!) appear to be transgressing so many pieces of legislation. As TFOTH says your health is more important than debt. You will get lots of support on here. Good luck and keep posting.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Just wanted to second what the others have said - my advice would be to get down to the CAB asap. These people are just bullies who pray on the vulnerable, you will need specialist advice to get it sorted. Good luck!

    Hi

I strongly advise you to stop now.

STOP ringing this load of mobsters.

Stop worrying you head about dying with debt.

You now understand something of the type of people you are dealing with so get proper help and see them off.

Was the car on Hire Purchase or was it a car loan? What were the other agreements for?

If any of these are for loans, credit cards or catalogues, then the chances of the legally required CCA being available and legally complaint are virtually nil. The chances of any debt this old having a legally compliant default letters must be even less.

Please can you list the accounts - name or nickname, type of account, value (approx) and when taken out.

I would also suggest that you stop trying to do this on your own and enlist the help of CAP as they offer personal support not just phone support.

  • Hi all,

    More news at last.

On Monday, 21/09/2009 I am taking the debt Collection Agency to the County Court.

I have now heard from the opposing solicitor. He has admitted that his client does not hold a County Court Judgement.

Further to this, I have paid £8 to search Trust Online for any records of Judgements. At my Last address where I resided for 26 years, the search revealed, "Nothing Registered." Moreover, I have my most recent Experian Credit File for my address over the last six years - I can tell you that anyone would be proud of the report - no Judgements.

I am not concerned about what I have to say: I am concerned that I am a 70 year old with chronic heart failure - if I get anxious or excited - I have severe problems.

Do I tell the Judge about this?

    Hi,
Have you spoken to your GP about your debt problems, he/she may be able to refer you to welfare rights or a social worker that might take up dealing with this on your behalf. It sounds like you are very unwell and this is proving difficult for you to manage. I would have a chat with your GP and see if there is any help available.

I would endorse the post from RAS -phone CAP. I am a volunteer support worker with them and am also dealing with my own debts (the above happened in reverse order if you get my drift!).

We will support you in many ways- and can genuinely help to lift this worry- there is no need for you to go it alone- so please-call-ok?

  • BUMP!

I would say that someone needs to know your medical condition if you're going into a stressful situation not of your own making. Whether this is a letter from your GP or a quiet word in a solicitor or Judge's ear.

Let us know how you get on Eppa. I hope you win x
