Because the writer is a biased little cretin who's bitter and twisted that he's paying someone elses mortgage.

No apology? Just a silly accusation. Disappointing, but unsurprising.

Oh yawn. More of the same.

Someone had a different opinion, so here we go...

No Graham, someone misread what I wrote and called me rude as a result.

I will give my apologies. Yes I did read what you said incorrectly and I thought you were referring to carolt as being a cretin. Once again my opolgies.

unfortunately in your unbiased affection to defending Carol you've made a little boo boo... the person that you called rude was directing his cretin comment to the author of the article - his name is "Edmund Conway" and works for the Telegraph.

not sure what you're saying here... i'm sure that you understand it though. it's what counts... but it makes no sense...
but then again how would you feel if people poked fun at you for making a mistake or taking advice from people regarding ralying on savings for retirement or annuities and their future value ...

Well I am one of those people in fact chucky that will be relying on annuities and indeed savings for my retirement. If anyone wants to poke fun at me I can hack it. Actually I am my Fathers son and the idea of sitting around in retirement is frankly not appealing hence I am taking a professional qualification, out of field to allow me to start a part time based at home business. My Father was the same. Spent his life as an engineer, was bored with retirement and made money from his hobby.

As you say, you perhaps didn`t make sense from that post. OK, simply I was making the point that a 300% plus increase in housing over a period of about 10 years, where I live, was frankly a hopeless and obvious bubble when there has been such low wage inflation.

I'm not trying to hide, I'm pointing out it's 3 months out of date. Why is it 3 months out of date? Because the writer is a biased little cretin who's bitter and twisted that he's paying someone elses mortgage.

Let's see who is a 'biased little cretin'?

Do we think it's likely to be the writer, who as the Economics Editor of the Telegraph, I suspect, actually earns somewhat more than you and doesn't have a problem paying his mortgage, or is it a certain Joeskeppi - about whose credentials for pronouncing on the economy we know nothing?

Hmmm.......difficult choice, I know, but I think I'd rather trust the Telegraph guy......
