Yes, I get your point Munch - but what I don't get is what is meant by spammer? Everyone who is on scramble is there to try to win a prize (unless I've missed something?), so I don't see what the difference is. I do only follow a few peeps on Twitter (Obama and Stephen Fry being the main two), but its just the way I am - selective/fussy, lol. Scramble won't be a great loss to me tbh, but I think it is good to hilight to other peeps re followers etc. ;)

I can understand why you're upset surgeoner but i just had a look at your twitter and I can see why you've been flagged, you don't have many people you're following and virtually all of your tweets are for scramble....just like the spammers they're trying to weed out of the competition.

That is actually a good point for everyone, if you're playing, make sure you use your twitter not just for that comp, they're trying to weed out the people who have multiple accounts and use them just to bump up the prizes they want and have put on themselves

    EDIT:

purplebutterfly, you should be fine, you enter loads of other comps on there although, maybe get following more of us/get more of us following you...that'd help :)

    My sentiments exactly Purple lol
I probably shouldn't have blocked all the random people who tried to follow me in the past then! :rotfl: But honestly, why would I CARE if some 58-year-old American bloke was about to have a shower???? I just don't GET Twitter, I really don't :o It's not like the people who Tweet really have anything interesting to say!

I think the point you've missed surgeoner is that they're talking about you trying to win just from them, if you enter some of the other comps on twitter as well it would dilute down the scramble tweets and look less likely that you're a spammer :)

What they mean by a spammer is someone who puts an item up then uses lots of fake twitter accounts to vote for that item so that it wins, it's happened a few times on there which is why these new rules. They do understand that occasionally they will get it wrong (like with you) and that is why the ban is only for 7 days, they hope in that time your account will have grown and it'll be easy to see that you're not a spammer of just their site.

I hope that makes sense now, I'm off to bed anyway, g'night and g'luck to all the lovely people who I call my compy friends :D

    Morning all,
Just about to try and read back to catch up. I've just Scrambled a very nice looking bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin so please; you know what to do!! Should be a popular choice...never tried this brand before as it's so prohibitively expensive...

Morning everyone. Didn't get any comping done yesterday, ended up attacking the garden instead. Got another day of today but have a hospital app this morning so probably wont' get much time to do anything proper.
Thankyou to all the posters of competitions
