PANIC - call from receivers

Dear all after some help.

Had a call from received yesterday asking abou a vehicle that has been involved in my BR claim

I was made BR in January this year and everything has been going smoothly and i'm getting things back on track.

However there was a car that may have changed hands before the BR was declared.

It has since re entered my posession and the receivers have called to say they see the car is still registered to me.
They are asking for proof that I no longer own the car.

There have been a few white lies told about the circumstances of why the car left my possession etc and i'm panicking.

If the receivers find out i've been lying, what's the worst case scenario for me?

Does this vehicle happen to be the £7k motor bike that you wrote off and sold for £300?

    Just curious

It is best to confess and tell the truth now, trying to worm your way out by lying again will land you in more trouble.

Accept the consequences, which are very likely to be a bankruptcy order, if you dont play ball now you could in theory end up with 15 years or BRO.

The OR is very likely to start digging into everything, hold you hands up now and you may just get a short BRO but i will be very surprised if you dont get one at all - it just depends on how long

I dont think you will unless you broke the criminal law.

not just a BRO/BRU you could be looking as well at suspension of discharge as well for not co-operating with the receivers (its happened before in similar cases) that means your bankrupt till the OR says different...

do what others have said confess all & see what happens

so my previous comment on 'guilty until prooven innocent' was correct.

BR is a life line. A way out. You can not expect to get rid of all your debts and keep £7000 motorbikes.

I would also expect OR to take the vehicle from you and sell it.
