our DD was increased recently from £45, i was expecting it to decrease when they read the meter but it went up. I'm going to start timing my showers and rationing toilet flushes if necessary
We have a dishwasher, and i thought it would save on water as opposed to handwashing dishes? (Maybe my handwashing is particularly liberal with the water though?) Any thoughts on this?
If it's yellow let it mellow if it's brown flush it down!!!
Thought about sharing bath water too??? Or you could share a bath with OH, add a couple of candles and tell him it romantic, he doesn't have to know you are only doing it for the moneysaving!0 -

Dishwashers generally don't use much water - less than washing by hand (unless you rinse as others have already said). Don't run the tap constantly whilst you are brushing teeth/ washing hands/ showering. I turn the shower off whilst I am shampooing and I use a leave-on conditioner which saves loads of water, is better for the environment and cheaper as you waste less! :T There is a free water saving device for the shower here:

You may be able to order a free 'hippo' from your local water company's website, which is basically a sack that goes into the toilet cistern. Some local councils are offering free water butts so you can save rainwater and greywater for use on the garden.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
There's not much point in using a hippo if you have a half flush and a full flush button. If you only have one level of flush you could try a hippo.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
