how long does a CCJ last?

I have a CCJ for £48,000 (long story). Will I be making repayments until it's paid off (forever!!)? Or is there a set time when it is considered 'spent'. Thankyou.

i am afraid a CCJ last until the debt is paid off and will stay 6 years on your credit file unless you are abler to pay 48 000 pounds within a month or 28 days if i am not mistaken .....
if it not paoid off you will haver maybe an attachment of earning order, bailiff etc...BSC number 1830 -
it lasts 6yrs from the date of the judgement. Not the date of default or date of settlement.0
