Tesco Clubcard Rewards

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but i've looked through the whole list of forums twice and i cant see an alternative.

I am trying to redeem my tesco coupons and turn them into the reward vouchers. I thought I would opt for the Weekend Away but it seems that there are so many participating hotels, each with their own rules and regulations about what you can and cannot do with your rewards and a list of hotels which dont take them! All of which makes choosing which one to go for difficult. Has anybody else waded through this mire and come out the other side? Or shall I just double their value at Tesco?

thanks

I have used the Hilton twice (Kensington and Bradford) and another hotel in Greenwich village whose name I forget but was great. The Hilton were very easy to book with.
    It's great to be ALIVE!
  • The marriot takes the clubcard vouchers on its stay for breakfast rates ( you can see the prices for these on its website), there are various rates depending on which hotel but I stayed for £37 pp per night for a saturday and sunday night at a hotel in Derby, there was also a luxury golfing hotel with similar rates but not at the time I wanted. The hotel was an old manor house and had a health suite and pool and breakfast was a grand affair. The area was also close to Blackpool, Liverpool and also alton towers if that appeals. There were also a lot of other hotels within UK but most had higher prices and I only had limited vouchers, you can order the brochure online, and I believe their rates are lower than the Hilton.

I'd second the Hilton. No problems accepting the vouchers... and a very impressed other half!

I have just booked a weekend break at the Marriott Dalmahoy near Edinburgh suing Tesco clubcard points for December making a nice Xmas break which has not cost me anything. Go onto the Marriott website and quote T85 in the promotional code box on the online booking form which should come up with the Tesco rate. When you have made the booking on the Marriott website go onto the Tesco website and redeem the clubcard vouchers for the necessary amount. You will then be sent a voucher which you keep and hand over at the hotel at the end of your stay.

If I can master it anyone can and it's brilliant to have a free weekend break as a treat!
Hope you persevere and get a wonderful weekend away!

Noooooooo, don't just double them up! Sit down and choose a hotel, convert your rewards, and get a lovely weekend away booked. I've been with Hilton; it's very easy - you can even book it yourself on their website using PR20TC as the promotional code. Make sure you change your rewards BEFORE booking as you need to get them to Hilton within 5 days (I think) of booking. Hilton will then send you a voucher, which you must take with you when you go for your break.

Like Floozie says, persevere! We're going to Edinburgh, too, in September. Can't wait :-)

Thanks so much for this, really helpful. SO the price that the website shows when you put in T85, is that what you pay once you have converted your coupons to Rewards?

Thanks, this is a brilliant help to me. So you have to POST the Rewards to them?

When I do this, I check the price on the site, but don't book it, then convert the rewards (so if it costs, say £200, you need to convert £50 rewards). Once they've sent me the vouchers (£200 worth), I then book the room online, using the code. It asks for a credit/debit card, but DOESN'T take any money off it. That's for, just in case, you don't turn up - then they would take the full amount. Then I send off the vouchers to to address they give you with the vouchers SPECIAL DELIVERY (just in case, and so I can track them), and they send a confirmation with a Hilton voucher that you take with you for your stay.
