Oh, forgot to say: we got this information on Consent to Let from talking to a financial adviser/mortgage broker: just the introductory (& free) meeting brought up this solution when we explained our situation. Might be worth contacting someone and do the same? They have heard it all before, and might have some other suggestions. We didn't end up using him in the end: did it all ourselves, but it was all very helpful.0
