Homeworking would be ideal, as i could do something at night after work when im on the computer anyway. Im just scared of a part time job because if i burn out at work and lose this job then ill be back being just any old call centre worker. I know it sounds like im excuse making and just throwing up obstacles but my job is extremely difficult and testing, im having a weeks break now because i was almost burning out, when i go back next week i have all this weeks work on top of my normal workload because there is only me to do it.Poverty 2012 - F**K My low wage!0

Hi
I may be looking at this too black and white but here goes.
You have 2 options - increase income, or decrease outgoings.
You have had a lot of good advice about increasing income. But for various reasons, you are not keen.
So that only leaves decreasing outgoings. Which I would take to mean that you need to reduce your social life.
If you are in a position to get your pay increase, or take on a second job when your main job calms down a little, or if you take on homeworking, THEN you can increase your social life.
I think until that point, I personally would only go out once a month. If you can't afford it, then it has to go.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

What do you do for a living that is so tough you are worried about burn out? Is it worth it for what you are being paid? Could you get an alternative job that pays the same and is less demanding or that pays the more for similar demands? Are you sure your employer isn't taking advantage of your good nature and eagerness to succeed?
It doesn't sound right if you are working those kinds of hours....... either you need some help to make you more effective and your employer should be prepared to provide training or whatever or they are simply overloading you. Have you spoken to your line manager or HR manager about the hours you are putting in and the stress you are under? I would recommend that you do they may be able to help or at least fast track that payrise!!
Have a look at the up your income board for homeworking ideas, but things like ironing, typing, fixing computers are fairly easy to set up yourself with a few well placed notices. But if you do take on a part time job you only need to do one or two shifts to see the benefit and if it becomes too much after a couple of months you could quit and still be a bit better off.
The alternative is drastically decreasing your expenditure!0
