I always shop around online for that sort of thing. The one I have used most recently keeps changing it's name - The Frontline Shop, Mrvets and now Mrpets but it is all the same shop. It doesn't pay through a cashback site but still works out cheaper as no postage. A six pack of feline frontline cost £16 if I remember correctly - cheaper than my vet can do the 3 pack.:D

Neither of my cats are insured as can't really afford it but if we had a dog again it would be. I would only go through petplan or petprotect. Having seen numerous claims not pay out by some of the cheaper ones it just isn't worth it.

Thanks for that saves me a trip to sainsburys this weekend! Our cat was the most expensive she got e-coli salmonela and was in there version of IC set me back £400 or would have. I don't remember the name of the company I am with but they have been very good can never beat them at renewal they are a dedicated pets only insurance company.

If it's not too intrusive for you to do for your parents.

Thanks BOB. The one thing I am not sure about is telling them about this site. The reason? They don't know the situation we are in:eek:. Doesn't that sound awful? I want to help them get their money in order but can't even get mine in order. Well that isn't true. Since going to CCCS and then finding this site we have pared back everything and it is just a matter of slowly paying off one huge debt now. At least that is how we like to see it. Rather than having 13 creditors we just have CCCS and we have done everything we can elsewhere and keep doing everything we can elsewhere, so now it is my parents turn.

As long as it is a 'for life' policy you should be okay. There are so many policies out there that will only cover an illness for one year or up to a certain top figure and then will exclude that illness for the rest of the pets life. Hopeless if you have a large dog on heart medication at £50 a pop. So many people think insurance is a rip off now but twenty years ago you couldn't do a hip replacement op, or such like.
