blimey 7 months before discharge holy cow - ah well will just sit pretty and wait, I mean its only 5 months till AD anyways it would just be nice to feel free of br but defo not the end of the world - mainly it would be nice not to worry about an IPA cos OH boss has given him a payrise but agreed not to put it into affect until discharged (which was very kind of him)

hiya NM
I was sent through to the trustee about 4 weeks ago - ED would be a dream but I am just glad that the letter didnt mean anything untoward (I have no assets), I just get the jitters when I recieve anything official looking now but have to keep reminding myself that I have nothing so no one can take anything (apart from the clothes off my back and that wouldnt be a pretty sight!).
bit of a bummer if you are still getting these things even tho you are discharged!BR 9th Jan 2009 - Discharged 9th Jan 2010

I think ours is just about sharing out the money, im not bothered he wont be our trustee soon..
You was sent through to a trustee? hmmmm you scotland?
In the uk you are only normally sent to a trustee and taken on by one if the OR thinks you have assets. Are you self employed?
seems to me like you sent to a trustee he realised he cant get any cash from you so he is sending you back again!! lol0 -
no not in scotland in East Midlands - I had no idea why we were sent to trustee cos our house was repossessed last year - got a crappy car which the OR wasnt interested in and !!!!!! all money LOL - you are prob right the trustee is thinking 'she aint got nowt - get rid'BR 9th Jan 2009 - Discharged 9th Jan 2010

My dh and I got the same letter stating that our OR was going to apply for release as trustee back in April and we are still bankrupt, no ED so far and as we only have 5 weeks to go until AD I doubt we will get ED, at this stage it will now be pointless :rotfl:.0

Hi everyone The letter you have received has nothing to do with discharge. It is simply the OR saying that they have completed their investigations and have realised any assets possible and so have finished with the case. The ED depends on the factors in your case so in effect if the OR thinhs you have done a litle wrong but not much they close the case and do not grant ED.
Every case has a trustee appointed, What changes is whether this is the OR or a private Insolvency PractitionerHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

This is correct, I had this letter yesterday, my OH still hasn't got one, he got early discharge Jan 09 and I got ED Feb 09.
I rang the OR who explained basically that the letter means they have finished their business with you and are closing your case.
It's nothing to worry about and is actually a good thing
