at 9.30 today I had my Or interview.
It was a lady who was very nice and understanding.
She was fine that I only had 7 months bank statements...and said if needed they would get them directly form the bank.
She breifly went through the masses of debt my wife and I had accured over the years....and I could only tell her approximates for most of them...she was fine with that.
She also asked our reasons for taking the BR route....which I briefly explained and she seemed happy with the explanation.
There was no mention of SOA which surprised me...but I suppose the fact we are both unemployed and on benefits was of no real concern.
She had no interest in our car as it is on HP...but if we could not make the payments the car would be repossessed and any shortfall would be part of the BR.
The same with the house...no interest as there was no equity in it and when it eventually is repoed ( we moved out into rented) any shortfall would be part of the BR.
she then went on to say that there are lots of people in the same situ as us and that after 12 months the BR restrictions would be lifted as long as we keep the OR happy.
Phew....it was only slightly awkward but no where near what I thought it would be like...you guys are right....its never as bad as you envision it will be.
I was ssoo worried I have not as yet slept...but now I reakon its an early bed time for me (maybe)....THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GREAT AND COMFORTING ADVICE.
Life is still gonna be difficult but at least theres one huge burden off our backs. :0) xxxx:j
