Porting Morgage advice Help

Hi,me and the missus are parting,and i am in the process of porting the morgage to a new property.I havent had an offer from them yet due to paperwork etc.there is a chance i may be laid off from work in the next few weeks,so will the chance of getting a morgage be nil then??What if i manage to get another job fairly quickly,will this help???Any advice appreciated,as my head is messed up at the moment.Thanks all.

I'd walk away from your new property if you're in danger of losing your job. How will you pay the mortgage? Presumably you have some equity from the house you've sold - put that in a savings account, rent and concentrate on getting a new job if necessary. It just can't be worth the risk to do otherwise in my opinion.0
