I have an interview at work. It's an 18.5 hour post which would (with my admin job) take me up to full time. The person who would be my manager sits next to me and the other person on the panel is the head of service who I look after in my current admin role so it's going to be a bit weird!

It's managing the NVQ assessors and putting together work related training packages or courses for employers who we sign up to offer their staff. It's heavily involved with the Train to Gain initiative and in the future I think will have Apprenticeship scheme overseeing added to it. It's a bit of a new step in some ways. I've been a manager and am used to dealing with outside/partnership organisations, but I know virtually nothing about NVQ's and all the stuff that goes with it.

I'm hoping that saying achievement, success, signposting, quality standards, portfolio and targets randomly as answers to any question will be sufficient! :rotfl:

Well if they know you, they'll know how quickly you can pick things up. I've had a bit of info about Train to Gain funding etc at work but still can't follow it all - not sure if anyone can! :rotfl:Go for it - would be great if you can fit the two jobs together :)

well this is it - everything keeps changing!! there are just so many organisations involved it's mad trying to understand what they all do, which are important and how they all fit together.

Ta :D That is the plan and then when this other 18.5 hour post comes up, try to get that and drop the admin post.

Squizz, good luck for tonight, and BB good luck for tomorrow.

Someone on here posted that all the Somerfields are closing today so go get bargains. Which we did, only to find that there's no sign of either of the nearby ones closing down, so a bit of a wasted trip.

But I'm really impressed with Yorkshire Water, I filled an online form in at 11am about getting a water meter, they phoned at three and someone's coming round first thing in the morning to check it out!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
