How can we get assessed under new rules?

I wonder why CSA has been allowed to get away with things for so long! First we were told that EVERYONE would be on the new system by a 2005 deadline - ha! Then we were told that those who would be less than £10 a week better off on the new system would be re-assessed first with those who would be the best off left until last  HOW CAN THEY DO THAT?!!! Then, as the deadline approached
CSA get away with it completely by saying they are dis-banding...? All nonsense and, as far as I am concerned, unlawful and immoral.
They are putting so much stress on our relationship that surely they are just making more new customers for themselves!!! Are they above the law as well as any hint of fairness?
These are not decisions that CSA staff are able to make. Ask the people that supposedly "run" the country. Your MP may be a good place to start. If nobody asks the questions, then the people that make the rules don't have to account to anybody do they?0 -
Actually, ask EDS the company who designed and built the system which casastrophically failed when it went live! It is still limping on, but it never worked in the way that it should have.0

I have emailed, phoned and met-up with our MP - I still feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall! He nods and smiles sympathetically in all the right places but nothing happens0

Karen, have you checked that you are paying the correct amount under CS1 ie taken advantage of any discounted amounts due to your income being lower etc - please PM me (I have replied to your original one by the way - I was on holiday for 28 days and had no access to the internet!)0

kelloggs36, thanks for taking the time to reply. I haven't a clue how to check what we're paying! I am still not earning / working. We were told we could claim travel expenses because it's a four-hour drive to see her but CSA said 'no'! We were told we'd be on the new system by 2005, CSA said 'no'! We were told carer's allowance would be reduced at age 11 (which she'll be in about 6 weeks), CSA said 'no'! I feel like I'm living in a Little Britain sketch!!!!0

What is the assessment amount? It should be on your notification from them.0

As I said, PM me and I can check for you and compare what you should be paying to what you are paying - if you are paying too much, I can help.0

Your last assessment figure, yours and your partner's net income (which is gross less tax, national insurance and half pension contributions)' housing costs (if mortgage the monthly payment, the interest rate and the amount outstanding; if rent, the amount you pay. The ages and number of children for whom maintenance is payable and the ages and number of children you have in your household - state if they are both of yours or yours or his. I also need your council tax figure (annual). Does hubby travel more than 150 miles per week to work as the crow flies? If so, how many miles? Do you have children to stay for 104 nights per year or more?0
