My apologies I was looking at that many systems last night I confused the specs, this is a 2.4ghz still isnt too bad for a budget system. A similar system in PC world is £399. I will amend initial post.

That is much better value than the originally submitted offer.

I have been typing endless evalue codes in today and came across this offer also about an hour ago. However my system is already in preproduction (whatever that means!) I have noticed on my pdf that the processor on 2400 system post was Celeron 2.4ghz, 400MHZ and 256K cache yet on the website it states only 128k cache. Anyone know which is correct and if it is 256k cache is the processor much different?

  • thanks escapee, I have a new monitor, keyboard and mouse but I am using a 'borrowed' tower. All I do is surf the internet using broadband. I dont play games or download music etc. Really I'm just looking for a basic tower as cheap as possible. Is dell the best place to look. Should I maybe go for the 2400 on the other thread. Angela.

Hi, I have been looking at E-value code NPUK5 D01306b.
    Its a dimension 3000 with
    2.8Ghz P4
    512mb DDR 330
    160GB 7200
    17" flatpanel
    16x DVD +/-
    1 yr C&R
    etc

Its £531, but have found that i can use the discount code to make it £495.85 if i go via small business.
Can someone please confirm that it wont make any difference to the PC that i get?
And that also, it states that it comes with no sound card?
I checked the PC discussed on this thread, and this also states that it has no sound card.
Does this mean its integrated? But will work ok?

Please help, as I dont want to get a PC as a present, but find they cant hear anything.

    Thanks in advance :)
    Be nice
